Breakfast Sessions

You're invited

Do you also want to get more value from the data in your organization?

And would you like to meet a partner who is strong both strategically and technically?

We noticed that, despite the growing importance of Data & AI, there are still too few opportunities in the Kempen region for professionals to connect, exchange knowledge, and inspire one another around these topics.

That’s why we organize these sessions: to bring together professionals, entrepreneurs, and data enthusiasts, share practical insights, and help build a strong and accessible Data & AI community in the Kempen region.

During these informal breakfast sessions, we combine knowledge sharing, practical examples, and networking opportunities. Each session has its own focus (educational, strategic, or pragmatic) and can be attended separately, depending on your role, interest, or responsibility within the organization. You can find more information about the content of each session below.

These breakfast sessions are relevant for anyone in a mid-sized company who wants to work with data and AI, from strategy to execution:

  • C-level executives and decision-makers who want to understand how data and AI create value
  • Business managers and project leaders shaping strategy
  • IT professionals and developers looking for technical insights

Whether you want to join the conversation on trends, gain inspiration for strategic decisions, or work hands-on with data, there is a session that fits your role. Attention: These sessions run in Dutch.

July 30, 2026, 9 am – 10.30 am

Dive into the fascinating world of data integration. In this hands-on workshop, we’ll build a real integration together: from a demo source system to our MAKO data warehouse. No theoretical slides, just building, testing, and getting data flowing.

We’ll use dlt, a Python framework for data integration. You’ll learn how to connect systems, retrieve data, and synchronize it intelligently using techniques such as pagination and incremental integration. Expect a highly practical session where you’ll actively code, experiment, and immediately see what works. Ideal for developers, data engineers, and technical professionals who want to connect systems and move data between platforms.

Want to build along live with our demo project? Just bring your laptop. We’ll handle everything else.

Prefer to experiment directly with an internal system from your own organization? Come prepared and bring:

  • API endpoints
  • A username/password or client/secret combination

Why should you join?

  • Learn hands-on how data pipelines work, from source system to data warehouse
  • Work directly with techniques you can immediately apply in real-world projects
  • Gain practical insights from experienced data engineers

Ready to build a real data pipeline instead of just reading about one? Register, bring your laptop, and join us in creating a real integration from source to data warehouse. Fully hands-on and immediately applicable to your own projects.

August 27, 2026, 9 am – 10.30 am

AI is everywhere. Every tool, every platform, and every roadmap revolves around AI. But what exactly is AI, and how do you make sure your organization is ready for the AI revolution? How do you build a solid foundation that prevents your organization from collapsing like a house of cards?

Previous Sessions

AI and data are high on the agenda of almost every organization today, but the discussion is often dominated by buzzwords and hype. To gain real strategic value, it is essential to first create clarity around the many terms and trends in the data landscape. Only when everyone understands the same concepts and speaks the same language does it become possible to have meaningful conversations and make well-informed decisions about data and AI.

During this session, we take a closer look at the most important concepts in the data world.

We will:

  • Bring clarity to the most commonly used buzzwords
  • Put popular terms such as AI, machine learning, and data platforms into the right context
  • Explain the difference between hype and reality
  • Provide a clear and easy-to-understand framework

What you will gain:

  • A clear overview of the most important terms and concepts
  • More confidence in conversations about data and AI
  • A better understanding of why data is relevant for SMEs in 2026

Digitalization and AI are essential for organizations that want to stay relevant and competitive. Without a clear data vision, technological progress risks becoming a series of isolated initiatives instead of a structural driver for growth and efficiency.

In this session, we use realistic use cases to show:

  • How data can help uncover inefficiencies within your organization
  • How to start building a data strategy
  • What the typical pitfalls are
  • Why data is the foundation of AI

What you will gain:

  • Inspiration on how to use data strategically within your organization
  • A clear view on how to start a business-driven data strategy
  • Awareness of common pitfalls and how to avoid them
