Understanding Data began with the vision of transforming the way businesses create and utilize data. Every business and organization generates gigabytes if not terabytes of data each year. At the time of writing (2025) we observe that most companies are not using data to make decisions, improve efficiency, make employee and customers’ life easier nor drive innovation. We aim to change that. Our mission is to create a better world by using data as a tool. We introduce improvements in how organisations handle and use their data, so that the data they collect and generate is leveraged to the maximum. We work with integrity, respect and understand that your organisation is unique. We approach our solutions with care and take into account the human factor. In doing so, we help our clients make data-driven decisions that benefit their organizations and society.

At Understanding Data, we’re dedicated to transforming data into meaningful services. We help organizations enhance their data maturity with strategic guidance in data architecture, engineering, analytics, and science. Our educational programs build data-driven organizations from the ground up. Through our consulting services, workshops, coaching and group sessions, we provide the tools and knowledge necessary for our clients to leverage data efficiently. We additionally provide a fully managed data platform as an option for our partners.

Understanding Data exists for a better future. We aim to contribute to high-impact projects in all things valuable for society. With healthcare to mobility and from education to wellbeing. We believe that data can help us make better decisions, but we need to prioritize and connect these decisions to targets in the private and public sector.
